What questions can I ask the computer programmers I'm interviewing to hire?

If you are not a professional, just do not embarrass yourself. Hire someone to do technical screening for you. Concentrate on things you understand, try to learn as much as possible about the candidate, but by all means leave the technical part to your technical screeners.
