Truck Analysis Software and Tuner?

I know my local mechanic charges $45 to hook up his laptop to my truck and it will run a test and tell EVERYTHING about my truck. like the condition of the engine, what needs replaced, what is going to need replaced soon, etc. I was wondering what the name of the software is or a software like it. Also i was wondering if you could tune your truck like Superchips but instead of having all those different programers if you could do it from your computer? Thanks SO MUCH for your help.
