Watch live tv on computer?

I am interested in getting cable on my computer. I have a tv tuner. I really want to watch live tv channels such as ABC, MTV, BET, E!, disney, and so on. Also, i do not want to do a monthly plan, only one time fee. Is this possible? and if so, what program or company should I look into?
