Acoustic Guitar problem with string?

HI, i got my first acoustic guitar like yesterday and I got an electric tuner. So i tuned all the strings and they are all in tune. All sound good except the B ? they all sound full and nice but when i strum across the b string it like vibrates and sounds well awful? its in tune but I just don't know what it is? Anyone got any ideas and how to fiz this vibrating noise coming from my guitar string :P ahah x thanks !!

Motorcycle won't start?

I have a 2006 Suzuki GS500F. Tried starting it today and I only got a constant clicking noise as long as I held the starter. Eventually I checked the battery (granted I have no clue when it comes to maintenance) but everything was plugged in. Went to start it again and this time I didnt even get the clicking noise. I thought I'd give the horn a try and alls I got was a barely audible beep out of it. Would I be correct in assuming I just need a new battery? Any advice?

It is common for horses to become a bit tender-footed after getting shoes, but I've never known it to last more than a day. Of course it depends what experience the horse has had with shoes, but the horse will probably be fine. After saying that, be sure that the horse is sound before you take it to the show to avoid further injury.

Hey. I'm 18, female and about to finish school and exams in a weeks time (on friday) over the past 3 years ive developed extremely strong feelings towards my 3O year old female teacher. Well as bad as it sounds I did a little pot last sunday. It was my first time and I only did one or two hits and had a little buzz. I'm currently trying to get a job and I'm wondering how long will it take for my urine to be safe for a drug test. I want to buy a Steeda Cold Air Intake but the website says that it is tune required and will not work without one. I know that it would void my warranty if i got a sct remote tuner and programmed the tune the company sent me. I am 13. 5'2" 1/2 and around 112-115 lbs. I have Female Athletes Triad. i got my period when i was 11 and my periods were normal for about 2 years. Then i started unhealthy dieting when i was 125 lbs and got down to 105 lbs. I didnt notice my period gone untill after i stopped my strict dieting..and i lost the weight FAST. i was only eating like 500 cals and i also was in track where we ran 3 miles during practice. Anyways I try to eat around 1800 cals a day now, and 2000 on REALLY actice days (when i swim for 5 hours with my friends) and i gained a pound :(..and yesterday i saw white discharge! (sorry, TMI) and i only ate around 800 cals yesterday ( i no i was busy at Six Flags, and we walked ALOT so i lost alot of cals doing that) and the discharge is gone :(. now, idk if i should eat alot today to make up for yesterday, or normal amounnt. and also, how many calories should i eat on a day i DONT excercise (i checked my BMR and it says around 1200-1300 calories, but that seems WAY to small) alls i want is my period back and for me to mantain my currrent weight.

Well, my husband and I have been on a long journey of trying to conceive for almost a year now. Part of the problem was me not having menstrual cycles due to being on depo provera (the shot) for 3 years and interfering with my periods. I am now prescribed provera (the pill) to induce my period which I pray makes me ovulate. Problem with guitar tuner? ( GA-1 Guitar/bass Korg Tuner)?

I have recently purchases a GA-1 Guitar/bass Korg tuner. I use the guitar setting, because I am tuning my guitar. I just want to tune it to standard tuning of EBGDAE. To do that, you would play all open notes. When I play all of the open strings to the 5th string (A), I have it tuned perfect. Then when I play the last 6th string (E), nothing happens. This tuner has a meter which moves whenever you hit a note. When I play the 6th string, the meter doesn't even move. If I press down on any fret of the 6th string though, it seems to work fine. It is just the 6th string open (E) note that is not being recognized by the tuner. Also, if I put it on the bass setting, it recognizes the 6th string. Does anyone know why it's not working? Is it just broke?

Transcribing software?

I've been finishing up an art project that involves photos and interviews. I'm getting ready to do a show and I plan on having excerpts from the interviews posted along with the photos. The problem is that it takes a tedious amount of time to transcribe each of the interviews even though I am a fast typist. Help, Its ruining my teeth?

So I have had my braces on for a long time, 3-4 years and my teeth werent bad to begin with, just an overbite. I was supposed to get my top braces off two days ago but they said they wanted to get rid of a space inbetween two of my teeth so they put these bands that overlp my wires and go around my brackets. Before, the braces have not helped my ovebite but within two hours, my mother could already notice a difference. My teeth hurt so bad that I cant chew, Alls ive eaten is pudding and soup, and no, my teeth have been pulled in so far that when i close my mouth normally, my top front teeth are directly above my bottom fromt teeth and so only my top 2 and bottom 2 teeth touch when i normally close my mouth, for it to be somewhat normal I have to slide my jaw back alot. I was supposed to schedule an appt. for 2-3 weeks but they coulden't get me in for 2 months so... if two days has already overcorrected my teech, and the bands are still pulling really tight, will they ruin my teeth? Please some advice.

My cat does this, but she wants food. My husband will get up and feed her. He travels often, and when he's gone I ignore her and within three or four days she knows she's not going to get what she wants so she just sleeps until I get up.

Guitar Technical Question!?

on my high e string the lower frets (like frets 1 2 3 etc.) appear to be slightly sharp on the tuner. The higher frets such as 17,18,19 etc. appear flat on the tuner. i have repeatedly tried to fix this by intonating with the floyd rose tremolos saddles but i cannot figure out what is wrong here. please help this is so frustrating!

I need some "first car" opinions!?

Im 17, im going to college to be a certified mechanic, and well now is the time where i need to decide on a car i want to purchase, and then obviously work on. hello alls. happy memorial day weekend to everyone. my problem is, well my hubby and i have possibly three dogs. Is it normal to lie in an interview?

It seems like the only way to get anything is to lie about yourself. I don't like it but I feel there's no other way. The difference in gear ratios in tuners?

I was deciding to buy a new set of guitar tuners. I read about these "ratios" like 14:1, 16:1, and 18:1. The ones I'm looking at are Gibson Grover Nickel Keystones (not the vintage ones with the plastic tips, The ones with ALL nickel like a regular Grover.) These I'm looking at are 14:1, and I was told that the ratios are kinda like what make them "slip" less or more. Does that mean the strings will go out of tune with the lowest ratio and they will stay in tune with the highest? What does it mean necessarily?

I work at a newspaper and have some full page ads which are about 11.5 x 22.5 in full size. How should I go about putting those in a portfolio? I'm wondering if its ok to fold in half (crease is already there when the newspaper is printed) but that would mean taking out of the sleeve to view the whole page. Feels like my 2004 GTO has power lag or something?

I have a 2004 Pontiac GTO.Has 30,000 miles, 6 speed transmission. When I first got it, this car was really fast. Now I have put SLP underdrive pulleys, 3:90 rear end gears, SCT Flash tuner, x-pipe with straight pipes and stock cats. Had a cold air intake but took it off. My buddy owned this car before me for about a month, and he drove it a couple of weeks ago and said he was shocked of how much slower it is now compared to when he had it. When he had it, all that was done to it was a dyno tune. The best way I can describe what is wrong with it is it seems like it has power lag. If that makes sense? It seems like there is a turbo on my car with major boost lag, but there is no turbo. When you stomp on it, it takes like 3 seconds for the power to kick in. The RPM's are going up, but no power. And when you downshift, it seems like you can feel the power in the throttle, but something is just completely holding it back and not letting loose. The only thing wrong with my car is an exhaust leak. But there is no way that is hurting my car that bad. Please tell me you know what is wrong???

So I definitely understand how to physically tune it, obviously, but I have one problem; the way to turn it.. For example, if I go to tune a string to E but the chromatic tuner is telling me F, I don't understand which way I need to turn the tuning knobs. What does engine ping sound like?

I am pretty mechanical inclined but never heard a engine ping, I have heard spark knock but thats it. I have a 98 dakota 5.2 v8. Mods exhuast,CAI,sct tuner. I just got this tuner last week and have been messing around with different settings. Well I have it on the 93 tune im running 87 and 89 mixed(40/60) Just too see if I would get ping(oh also still a 190stat but 1 range colder plugs) Today I noticed a weird sound coming from my truck couldnt hear it too well then later on when I was driving with my windows down I heard it real good sounds like a exhaust leak. Then I started thinking could this be engine ping? I didnt have time to check my headers tonight to see if they are leaking but I did notice the noise is most noticeable when the truck is lugging, maybe its louder cause the rpms are lower and my exhaust isnt as loud. Some one please try to explain this ping noise to me. Oh and I dropped my tune down while on 89 gas and still that noise it there. Ill reset it back to stock and see what happens worst thing is ill have to put in a 180 stat and maybe 1 range colder plug. Or maybe it is a exhaust leak which I am not looking forward to fixing!

Why does the input selector on my amplifier not work properly?

When I use the input selector switch on my Rotel RA-931 Amplifier (i.e. function switch for phono, CD, Tuner, Aux), the sound often breaks up on one channel, and I have to switch back and forth until it settles down. What's the reason for this, and can it be rectified? Seems a shame if the amp has reached the end of it's useful life, for something like an iffy switch.

How to get my parents less strict? 10 pts?

Basically I'm 13 and now that I'm getting older I want to have more freedoms. My parents don't usually let me stay out later than 9. It makes me feel upset because everytime I'm hanging out with my friends in always the first one to leave while their parents let them hang out until midnight. Vicky and Anna are back, but there's something more to them then them being just ghosts. Alaric will step up as a father figure to Jeremy and Elena. Season 3 will be much darker like season 1 and will drift away from the constant mythology. Theres a reason Klaus wants Stefan to be with him so bad. A possible Secret Circle and Vampire Diaries crossover could be in the works. If not season 3 then season 4? Maybe further down the line. I receive hi-def cable TV. What is the data rate of the signal that the cable company sends to my home? I assume this is a compressed signal. How does it compare to an uncompressed signal needed to decode the 0s and 1s into a picture? As I have three tuners (2 for recording and one for watching) then I presume that I can receive three channels at once. This must be a huge bandwidth. Especially compared to a crappy 2.5 Megabit download for broadband on the same line.

Dish Network and HDMI Splitter?

I have the Dish Network VIP211 single tuner receiver and I want to run two HDTV from the HDMI. I bought two HDMI splitters and they both don't work correctly. My question is, should this be possible and the splitters I got are just junk. Or is there something about Dish Network that "won't allow" a splitter like this? Is college degree worth it?

Ok this is probably the most controversial question after high school. I am a 22yr old high school graduate who was in community college but was forced to drop out. I was going for a LPN(nurse). Now to me an Associates degree in Nursing is like a four year degree in another field. Of coarse a takes four years and is higher than an Associates degree but this particular field is not easy as it sounds. Now I am only going for nursing because in my area this is probably the most demanding job with a decent salary. Sure there is nasty stuff you have to look at, snobby nurses and doctors, long back breaking work, and "know it alls'. I was a STNA in the past. The problem is I don't know if I really want to go any further into this. I have a mental block on "at will employment". What this means is your boss can fire you for any or no reason as long as it doesn't violate public policy(discrimination, jury duty, family leave, etc.) At my very first job I was fired by a new manager. Everything was going good until see came there. I just cannot work one job. What if I had a family. Some idiot fires you because they don't like you(not your work) they just have some personal problem with you. I want to become a manager so I won't have to deal with this. The worst thing in the world is having a boss who doesn't know what they're doing and having to listen to them. Anyway when I told my uncle that I was going to school he said "them kids go to school and don't even get them jobs. Get you a trade then you can work for yourself". At first I thought it was because I am a black male and that I could not compete in todays job market. And I know that you just don't go to school, get the degree, and get the job. You have to network, volunteer, be able to write a resume, participate in interships, etc. There is alot of competition and when you get the job you might have satan as your boss. Oh and let's not forget about all those loans you will be paying back. Then I looked into electrical engineering. I can't picture someone paying me $80,000 a year. I would have to get a degree in that and join the military for experience and get another degree in math and all this crap just to be able to compete. Then I have people say that some degree are worthless like some associates degrees. The reality is up here most people make no more than $20 an hour. Colleges throw around these big figures and students believe them. So my question is what is a go field to study? I would be happy making $40,000 a year. What are some nice laid back jobs?

Why is castor oil nor mineral oil working to induce my labor?

I am 38 wks and have been having contractions since I was 34 wks. These are not BH and I am still 1cm dialated. I was told to try castor oil, and I did. At 37 1/2 wks I took 4 tbl spoons of castor oil and it did not work, not even diarrhea. And last night I took 4 tbl spoons of mineral oil and again nothing. No contractions and no diarrhea. I already know the side effects for all the know it alls. So am I taking the right dosage or do I need to take it more than once?

It's been 2 weeks, and all of my friends got their callbacks in a matter of days. Should I learn how to be a better interviewer, and go back? Or seek out a different source of employment?

i was wondering if using flea sprays like adams plus flea/ tick mist from petsmart, is good enough to eliminate/ repel fleas on my 2 cats and 2 ferrets, along with the house if i use it right. buying revolution for 3 months worth of 4 animals can get expensive.. so i was wondering if this is well enough. even if i only use it on the cats and the ferrets get revolution for 3 months OR i use one month for each animal and continue with the spray.. alls im really asking is if a spray is powerful enough. thankss<3

I'm a bit worried about going overseas to Malaysia by plane....?

I'm 16. Firstly, I have a bit of a past of anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder and a lot of panic attacks... and in a month I'm going to Malaysia with my school. It all seemed fine about 5 months ago when I asked my parents and they said yes but now that we've bought everything and alls been done I'm starting to get very nervous. I have never been on a plane before or out of the state and it's really starting to shake me up. I am starting to get cold feet and it's like one of those things that I just can't pull out of. :/ Please help me. What should I do? Any medication maybe to help me out? I'm just so afraid I'm going to freak out on the plane... 8 hour flight..

Why is my guitar amp not working?

So i got this amp back when i started playing and it stopped working until i got really into it. It's a Crate GLX15 guitar amp that never got turned up high so it's not like i blew the speaker. It just randomly stopped working. Since then it's been sitting in my room. Now several years later i was looking at it because i recently broke a different portable amp i had and figured i could get this one fixed for much cheaper or by myself. Enough history, this is my analysis: The power works because all the lights still work, the input works because it has a tuner that still picks up what notes i'm playing, the speaker however produces absolutely no sound so i figure maybe a wire got broken loose or something. REAL help would very much appreciated.

Can a student rent an apartment without a job?

I am a student and the university I attend is about an hour's drive away. Last semester I was able to stay in a dorm, but we've found that the apartments in the surrounding area are actually cheaper. I have been applying for jobs and going on interviews, but I haven't been hired yet, and I really need to move out. My mom is unable to rent for me. Why has not playing sports effected my mood?

Ok so i've played football since the 4th grade. Im going to be a 10th grader next year. I quit playing football halfway through the year last year because the coach picked favorites and half of the team were self centered know it alls. Anyway I've noticed that I find myself being really hard on myself lately, I think its because im not playing sports but im not sure. No, You cannot buy just key part of the tuner, you must by the whole machine head. They probably would not fit on your machine heads anyway because they are usually formed onto the shaft. Stick with the stock tuners. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Why don't people date anymore?

About 10-20 years ago going on casual dates was more common, but in recent years there is no "dating process." From my experience asking someone out means that you want to have a serious relationship or something like that. I tend to look at dating as a chance to get to know someone that you could potentially have a relationship with i.e share similar interests are attracted to etc, and to see if they have similar feelings. In a nutshell, a date is almost like an informal "job interview" for lack of better word. I also don't see anything wrong with going on many dates with many different people IF YOU'RE SINGLE. I think it helps develop good communication skills in a relationship-like capacity. Here's a prime example: I asked a girl out to go on a nature photography hike, and then have a picnic at the end of it. I invited another couple I knew to join us so it could be really informal. She said no. But, it wasn't like I didn't know this girl. We had a lot of good conversation, and we seemed to have a lot in common. However, my view is that she interpreted my asking her out as a sign that I wanted her to be my girlfriend, which was an incorrect assumption. I just wanted to get to know her better, and see if I was really that interested in her...then maybe we would head in that direction. It was also kind of hurtful to infer that she had absolutely no interest in getting to know me better at all. Going on a date with someone is NOT a contract, contrary to popular belief. Nobody seems to think this way, and subsequently very few people casually date at all. In fact, the only dates I've ever been on, have either quickly resulted in a relationship that I didn't really want, or very angry girls thinking that I "led them on," when I told them that I really enjoyed our date, but that I was interested in seeing other people. People need to learn how to say what they mean, and not avoid uncomfortable confrontations. If someone asks you out, and they're a reasonable person, why not just go out with them, have a good time, get to know them, and if you have no romantic interests just say so. Why is so difficult for people to get this!!? I wonder if there are any sociological factors in our generation that influence this cultural manifestation? Any ideas? Thanks. This is so frustrating!

hi well i was with my ex gf for just over a year we met on a dating site things were brillliant at 1st i took her 2 boys on as my own (there dads dont see them) and it was great i went on holiday already planned when i got back she told me solical servises were involed with her (child neglect) but i was determined to be with her so i stayed with her ... we got a house together and everything was going great s.s were coming out everyweek and we stuck together there was a incident when i grabbed her son and shouted at him and everything went wrong she wanted me out so i left and called her all sorts but i loved her and won her back promicing never to be like that again we had to have a interview with ss they told me they understand family life can be stressfull and that if i ever got like that again to get up and go cool down ... we got back together she got pregnant and things just got worse from that point the house was a tip she was moody i tried to talk to her about it but alls i got was " wat you having a go for" so in the end stopped trying to talk instead id critisize her about the house kids ectect then 1 day she kicked of big style telling me to get out when i would nt she went mentle hitting me jumping on me (kids were there watching and shes 7 month pregnant) and in end she phoned police i was shocked she could be like that ... we got back together but think it was wrong destion she was still moody (i know hormoanel) and i tried to explain to her that i thought its best we split but she did nt like that started saying stuff to wind me up and it worked i sent her loads of abusive texts and emails ...then anyway left her alone for few days then tried to get in contact about the kids and baby she ignored me and got police out on me arrassment charge so i never sent no more text emails ... she had the baby on sat 28th then her mam emailed my sister on the monday to tell us know she had her with a picture attached its been 4 days now since shes had her and shes still blanking me and the solicitors letters shes been sent .. what im asking is what have done so bad for her to keep my daughter away from

How long (usually) does it take for an employer to call back? I had an interview and got the job on the spot. I was told to do a drug test down the street, which I took that day, and they would run a background check on me. This was a few days ago, and she said she would call to give me information about training, etc. On average, how long does it take to get called back? I know I passed the drug test, pretty positive I passed the background check (not sure if there's something there from when I was very young? But I don't think so). Soar throat and diarrhea?

I started out 2 days ago with a really dry throat and now its been hurting pretty bad but I also started in with diarrhea for over 2 days its just pure water not clear and it smells really horrible.I woke up this morning with a low grade fever too.
